When Jørgen Bækmark added an armrest to the J81, the J80's big brother, the result was both a more comfortable chair and a natural continuation of the curved shape on the chair's backrest. In addition, the chair is slightly wider than the J80, which of course also offers a little more comfort. The design dates back to the golden age of the FDB Møbler, but the proportions are slightly adjusted, as the Danes today are on average five to six centimeters taller than in the 1960s.
